. The painting is in the permanent collection at The Broad in Los Angeles, and Mehretu’s mid-career survey just opened at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.

Throughout this week there are a few exciting things happening. Today (Friday) our beloved public radio, 

, is hosting a listening party at 2pm ET, and tomorrow (Saturday),
